FIRST PTO MEETING OF THE YEAR - WEDNESDAY, OCT 11 7-8:30P

Join the PTO as they host the first general PTO meeting of the year on Wednesday, October 11 from 7-8:30pm in the Lilja Learning Common. Hear updates on what's happening in the Lilja Community, upcoming initiatives from the PTO, and the principal's report. All are welcome.

WILD WEST BOOK FAIR - SADDLE UP AND READ - OCTOBER 25 & 26

Lilja’s annual Scholastic Book Fair will take place Wednesday and Thursday, October 25th and 26th, from 2 pm – 8 pm. This is always a favorite event for the kids, a great way to participate in the Lilja community, and makes thousands of dollars towards books and supplies for the school. Unhitch your horse and ride on down!

LILJA HALLOWEEN DANCE - FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27 6:30P-8:30P

Join the Lilja PTO as they host the fall Halloween Dance and Costume Contest!

Friday, October 27 - 6:30p-8:30p - Lilja Gym

Tickets are $7 per person with a cap of $28 for 4+ family members. In addition, in the ticket options, you will see options to add an additional $5 or $10 as a donation to the PTO. Your support continues to help the PTO support teachers, students, and the facilities of Lilja.

The ticket price includes admission to the event, dancing to the tunes of DJ Frank N. Stein, snacks, drinks, fun, and games. Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and enter the costume contest where a winner is named from each grade. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

BOX TOPS CONTEST

Our next Box Tops contest deadline is fast approaching.  The classroom and the student who collect the most Box Tops will win a prize.  Each year Box Tops provides nearly a thousand dollars for our PTO.  It is easy to help us raise these funds.  All you have to do is take a look at the products already on your pantry shelves.  Clip and collect the box tops as you use the products, and check your shelves for any box tops that are expiring soon as once they expire, we can’t collect money for them.  You don’t have to donate any money, all it requires is a little bit of your time.  You can attach the box tops to one of the submission forms found in the virtual backpack or even easier, put them in a ziplock bag.  Once you have them collected, send them into school with your child – Don’t forget to label with your child’s full name and classroom.  For a list of participating products see the product list found in the virtual backpack.

The deadline for your submissions is Wednesday, October 25th.

ANNUAL FIELD TRIP FEE

This annual $20 per student fee for K-4 students covers field trip related activities for the upcoming academic year. Should you need financial assistance, we encourage you to contact the Lilja guidance office.

4TH GRADE ACTIVITIES FEE - NEW!

This year, the PTO implemented a fourth grade activities fee in lieu of multiple fourth grade fundraisers like previous years (there still may be one town-wide fourth grade event to raise funds for the schools). The $65 per student fee supports: the end of year annual YMCA trip, t-shirt, water bottle, fourth grade fun day, as well as other fourth grade activities throughout the year.

APPLE PI FUN RUN - NOVEMBER 12 - 11am - NATICK HIGH SCHOOL

Lace up your sneakers and join Natick Education Foundation (NEF) for this fall family event! All Natick elementary school students (K -4) are invited to participate in races, field day events, and other fun activities. Money raised will go back to the schools through Natick Ed Foundation grants and program funding. This event was inspired by an NEF grant written by Lilja’s Gary Demayo and will be run by volunteers with support from all the elementary school gym teachers. AUCTION SAVE THE DATE & FUNDRAISING CHAIR NEEDED

Every other year, the Lilja PTO hosts the Lilja Auction. This parent-only night out helps to raise money to support the two-year operational budget for the PTO. Through the generosity of our parents and auction attendees, the PTO has been able to raise over $40,000 at each of the last two auctions. We are pleased to announce that this year's auction will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at the Verve Crowne Plaza in Natick. This year's auction will take us back to the decade of our youth for an 80's themed night! 

To make the auction a success, a lot of work needs to happen. The PTO board is in search of a parent (or two) to lead the fundraising efforts of other parent volunteers charged with soliciting auction items and other donations.
