PTO Meeting and Makerspace Reveal: Tonight from 7-8:30pm in the Library. The PTO is very excited to join with Dr. Smith to reveal our new Makerspace! Come see the space on and find out what new STEM projects your kids will be working on. Complimentary babysitting provided for those whose are toilet trained.

A Big Thank you goes out to Lisa McDonough and Linda Danahy for all their hard work for the Staff Appreciation events this year. The coffee/dessert bar and international lunch were a huge success. Thank you to all the families who donated and helped to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate them. If you have not picked up the containers food items were sent in, they are washed and can be picked up the teachers lounge.

Lilja School Playground Brick Campaign

Be a permanent part of Lilja School’s future, building history, one brick at a time. Create a lasting memory and become a part of Lilja School history by purchasing a custom engraved brick to be placed on the walkway leading to the new Lilja School playground.
This is a meaningful way to pay permanent tribute to all your best Lilja experiences and memories. You may wish to honor a child, grandchild or remember a loved one. You may also purchase bricks to honor a principal, staff member and/or teacher, past or present, who positively impacted your family’s Lilja experience. Please feel free to reach out to friends and family as well. All proceeds from this sale will be used toward the purchase of playground structures for Lilja children to enjoy for years to come. The Lilja PTO is seeding this fundraiser with $15,000 raised from previous events; however, we need to sell at least 500 bricks by

PTO Board Elections

The PTO will be holding elections for all Board positions at the Wednesday, June 7th at the PTO meeting. The positions are, President, Vice President, Treasurer, Parliamentarian and Communications Director, and all have a 2 year term. Job descriptions of each position can be found <here>. The following board members are running for re-election: Kristine Black, President; Adrienne Spelker, Vice President; JP Matychak, Treasurer; Emily Diesl, Parliamentarian. If you would like to be a part of the board please submit a short statement of interest by Friday, May 26th to The Election Committee .

The Lilja Carnival

Join us on Sunday, June 4th from 12-4pm for Amusement Rides, Inflatables, Carnival Games, Funhouse, Tattoos and Face Painting and much, much more! Tickets for rides and food will be sold at the door, cash and credit cards accepted. This great community event is open to all Natick families, so spread the word and bring a friend or two! Rain date is Saturday, June 17th.

Last Week of BOKS
This is our last week of BOKS, so let’s have fun! T/TH last day is Thursday, May 11th!
M/W/F last day is Friday, May 12th!  Also it is our intent to have a combined BOKS obstacle course on Wednesday.  Please know that all BOKS students from both session can join — T/Th and MWF groups are welcome.  Our trainers from both days will be there and we are going to have some combination of an indoor and outdoor course.  Please know all parents and siblings are welcome to come and enjoy the morning.

Tour de Natick
It's that time of year again!  Spring has finally arrived and The Rotary Club of Natick is excited to announce the 14th annual Tour De Natick bike ride on Sunday June 18, 2017. As you may know the ride benefits Natick Public Schools in many ways, including
$10,000 yearly for Scholarships for graduating seniors from Natick High
$5.000 yearly for the Make a Difference fund for Middle School Students
Annual Elementary School Dictionary Project
To further support the Natick Public Schools,  a gift of $500.00 is given to the PTO of the school with highest percentage of student riders, based on enrollment numbers for each school. This will be the third year of this gift.  In 2015 there was a tie between Lilja and Memorial Schools, winning $250 each, and in 2016 Kennedy Middle School PTO won the $500.  Your PTO could be the one this year! Students and their families can sign up ahead of time at http://www.tourdenatick.org (click on "Register") or on the day of the ride.  In addition, Teachers ride for Free. After the ride each student should come to the registration area to have their name placed on a board to be counted for their school.  We will announce the winner at the event.  We hope to take a photo of the group of students from each school.  Students that cannot stay for the picture will still be counted in the total.
