Earth Day Recycling Drive!
Earth Day is April 22nd. To celebrate, the Lilja community will be collecting recyclable bottles and cans for the entire month of April. Funds from the bottle/can deposits will be used to make a donation to the Natick Service Council, to support local families in need.
How can you help? One of two ways: 1) Bring in bottles and cans, and place them in boxes in the lobby or ASAP entrances. 2) Return bottles and cans on your own, and turn in the money to school. Money can be turned in to teachers, in envelopes marked “PTO Earth Day.” Thanks in advance for supporting our community and a healthy Earth!
Yearbook Ordering is Now Open
Please visit www.coffeepond.com and click on "Yearbook Program" and then choose "Yearbook Order". Use the password: lions. Yearbooks are $25. In addition, we offer monogrammed covers and CDs as well. Orders Must Be Completed by May 1, 2017.
Staff Appreciation 2017
There are approximately 65 staff members at Lilja who all work hard for our children. Staff Appreciation events are a great, easy way to show them our thanks and how much we appreciate what they do for us each day. Next Wednesday, May 3rd is the staff luncheon and the theme is “Around The World”.
How you can help? 1) Donate food or your time for the luncheon <here>. Please have all cold items in by 9:00am and all hot items in by 10:30 on May 3rd. There will be a table set up in the teachers lounge with a sign for drop off. 2) Donate money. Monetary donations can be sent into the office in an envelope marked "Staff Appreciation 2017”. Checks can be made out to "Lilja PTO". Last year we were able to give each of the staff member a $10 Dunkin Donuts gift card, in addition to each individual classroom receiving an Amazon gift card! We would greatly appreciate any donation and would love to have them as soon as possible for planning purposes. Lilja School Playground Brick Campaign
Be a permanent part of Lilja School’s future, building history, one brick at a time. Create a lasting memory and become a part of Lilja School history by purchasing a custom engraved brick to be placed on the walkway leading to the new Lilja School playground.
This is a meaningful way to pay permanent tribute to all your best Lilja experiences and memories. You may wish to honor a child, grandchild or remember a loved one. You may also purchase bricks to honor a principal, staff member and/or teacher, past or present, who positively impacted your family’s Lilja experience. Please feel free to reach out to friends and family as well. All proceeds from this sale will be used toward the purchase of playground structures for Lilja children to enjoy for years to come. The Lilja PTO is seeding this fundraiser with $15,000 raised from previous events; however, we need to sell at least 500 bricks by JUNE 1st to move this project forward and to build the amazing playground being planned. Wilson Middle School PTO is sponsoring our first Color-A-Thon Event! This fun 2 mile race will take place around the middle school. A portion of the proceeds from this fun and healthy race will support the Natick Special Olympics. Our goal is to raise $7,500 and have 250 people participate. The race is open to students at all of the Natick Public Schools as well as staff and family members. The cost to register for this Color-A-Thon event is only $30
It includes a t-shirt and a color pack! After the event, there will be a Color Blast Party with music by DJ Mike, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, Food and Beverage Concessions and Big Blasts of Color!
