The Lilja Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26th and Thursday October 27th from 2pm to 8pm. This year’s theme is “Books Ahoy! A Bookaneer adventure where books are the treasure!” It will be a swashbookling good time! If you would like to volunteer to help during the book fair, please click here and choose an available time slot.

Outdoor Halloween Movie
Join the Lilja PTO as they host Outdoor Family Movie Night on Friday, October 28 on the lawn at Lilja. Bundle up and enjoy Hotel Transylvania 2 (rated PG) under the autumn stars. Freshly-popped popcorn, hand-spun cotton candy, and water will be available for purchase. Prior to the movie starting, get your picture taken with the NBA Championship Trophy from the Celtics 2008 Championship. Also, you can learn more about our Lilja Night at the Celtics, purchase tickets, and purchase raffle tickets to win 2 free tickets to a Celtics game.
Cost for the evening is $15 (+$0.75 online processing fee) PER FAMILY. Please use our payment portal to register and pay online. We can't wait to see you to watch the stars under the stars!
Pizza and a Movie: Kung Fu Panda 3
Our next Early Release day is Tuesday, October 18th and the PTO will be hosting Pizza and Movie. All children attending will receive 2 slices of cheese pizza, a bottle of water and a snack. If your child needs more to eat, please feel free to send in a peanut/tree nut free option for them. For more information, please see the flyer. All registrations and payments will now be done online ( Pay and Register online) no later than Friday, October 14th. NO EXCEPTIONS. Volunteers are always needed for this event and volunteers’ children attend free of charge. If you have questions or would like to volunteer, please contact Adrienne Spelker.
New PTO Volunteer Initiative
One of the goals for the new PTO Board is to increase our number of volunteers. All the events and programs we run throughout the course of the year are dependant on YOU stepping forward and helping. And we need more help! Therefore, we are adding an additional incentive to those who volunteer. A $25 gift card to a local business will be given to one volunteer at each PTO meeting, done randomly through a drawing. For each event you volunteer at you are given 1 chance in the drawing. For each leadership role you take on, you get 10 chances in the drawing! If you are interested in volunteering, but don’t know how, please contact us firstname.lastname@example.org. Box Top Submission Deadline
Each year Box Tops provides nearly a thousand dollars for our PTO. It is easy to help us raise these funds. All you have to do is take a look at the products already on your pantry shelves, then clip and collect the box tops as you use the products. Check your shelves for any box tops that are expiring soon as once they expire, we can’t collect money for them. You don’t have to donate any money, all it requires is a little bit of your time. You can attach the box tops to one of the submission forms or even easier, put them in a ziplock bag. Once you have them collected, send them into school with your child. Here is a list of participating products . The deadline for your first submission is Monday, October 24th.
