Boston Red Sox

Once again this year we have partnered with the Boston Red Sox for a Lilja Night at Fenway. Please join us on Wednesday, June 22nd at 7:10PM as the Red Sox take on the Chicago White Sox.  While the game is not until June the deadline to order tickets is January 26th. We will have one section with all Lilja families. Please print out the form (also in the Virtual Backpack) and submit your form and payment to the Lilja Main Office by January 26th in an envelope marked Red Sox Event. If you have any questions please contact Christine Kingdon. All ticket orders must be given to the Red Sox on the 26th so we can not accept any late forms.

Lego Drive for our TinkerZone

Thanks to surplus funding from the PTA and a private donation, the Lilja Learning Commons is building a Makerspace. Makerspaces are areas where children learn through play and tinkering about STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) concepts. We are looking for donations of unwanted and extra Legos for the TinkerZone (the name of our Makerspace). There will be a box for donations in the lobby from Jan. 4-15th. Use this as an opportunity to clean out your house and fill up ours. See the flyer for more information (also in the Virtual Backpack).

Bake Sale - This Saturday, January 9 - 9am-3pm - Lilja Lobby

All Lilja families are encouraged to please stop by if you are in the neighborhood at our second bake sale this Saturday, January 9 from 9am-3pm, supporting the 4th grade fundraising. We will be in the lobby selling baked goods, pre-packaged snacks, drinks, and coffee all for $1 each!

ATTENTION 4TH GRADE FAMILIES: We are looking for volunteers to donate items to the bake sale and we also need volunteers to help run the sale. Bring your fourth grader with you to the sale! It that really helped drum up business last time. And lastly, we would love some homemade signs from our fourth graders to place at the tables, as well as possibly outside to help bring in sales. The brighter the better! If you can donate or volunteer please sign up on the Google doc. Donations can be dropped off at Lilja between 8:30-9am on Saturday, or you can email Linsey Evans at to coordinate a time to drop off on Friday. Please do not hesitate to contact Linsey Evans if you have any other questions.
