PTA Announcements

Lilja Directory
The deadline is this Friday, October 30th. Any family who would like to be in the directory MUST complete the Google form.  We do not receive any information from the school and do not use information from previous years. The only way to be in the directory is to complete the form.  Each family will receive one copy of the directory.

Book Fair
Thank you to Patti Donovan, Adrienne Spelker and Nancy Bloomstein for all of their hard work on the book fair. It was a great school wide event and we thank all the families that were able to attend. Preliminary results suggest that it was our best sale in years! If you weren't able to attend, or you didn't find exactly what you were looking for, we have set up an online version of the book fair just for you. Purchases made between now and November 3rd will benefit the school the same as if you had bought during the fair - and all orders ship FREE to the school. As always, all proceeds will go towards buying books for the school library and individual classrooms. Please know that in addition to buying great books for your children, you are supporting the Lilja School. Happy shopping!

Magnets, Note Pads and Cups
You can now complete an order form to get your Lilja magnets, cups and dismissal note pads anytime throughout the year.

Yearbook Meeting
If you would like to join the Lilja Yearbook Committee there will be an informational meeting on Monday, November 9th, at 7:30PM, at the home of Liz Gorman. Anyone is invited to join this committee, no experience is necessary. Please RSVP if you can attend.

Celtics Tickets
Thank you to the families who signed up for the Celtics tickets.  All of the information was sent to the Celtics last week, if you have any questions please contact Christine Kingdon.  Lilja will receive $150 from the Boston Celtics for this fundraiser.

Discover What Makes a Great Camp Experience at Camp Talk 11/3
It's not too early to start thinking about camps! Registration will be here before you know it so why not get a head start? Join Campseekers on November 3rd at the Wellesley College Club to hear from a panel of camp directors and parents on what makes a great camp experience.  We’ll explore topics like:
    •    The best age to start camp (both day and overnight)
    •    The leading indicators for finding a quality camp
    •    General camps vs specialty camps
    •    Secrets to a successful summer
Directors from local camps including Linx and Explo will be a part of this discussion. This program is free and open to the public but seating is limited and you must be registered to attend. We’ll have some great camp giveaways for those who attend. Visit www.campseekers.com for more information.
Thanks to our partners:  LINX Camps, Tocomail and EXPLO for making this possible.

Please do not hesitate to contact a member of the board with any questions.
