Early Release Art Program
We will be trying something new for the next early release on Thursday, November 13th. Let's Gogh Art will be running a two hour art program at the cost of $20 per child. We need a minimum of 20 kids to run the program. The deadline to register is Monday, November 11, we will NOT take late registrations. Please note the registration form must be fully completed and turned in to the main office on the deadline date not the next morning. We need time to put the dismissal list together for the office and get all the confirmation emails out. See the virtual backpack for the registration flyer.
November PTA Meeting
Please join us this Thursday, November 6 at 7pm in the library for part two of Principal Smith's PBIS presentation. For anyone who missed part one at the October meeting you can find the presentation in the virtual backpack or on the Principal's Blog. As always, the PTA will provide complimentary babysitting for the meeting.
The directory is in and will be distributed to families this week. As always we will be providing one copy per family. Thank you to Jodi Grundig for coordinating the directory again this year! If you did not submit your information or have changes we will be doing a changes and additions page in January.
Our first restaurant night of this year will be at the Outback Steakhouse on Wednesday, November 12. Lilja will receive 10% back from the restaurant. Please print out the flyer in the virtual backpack and bring it with you on the 12th. Thank you to Lydia Grehn for setting the restaurant night up for us.
In an effort to teach our students kindness and the meaning of community, Lilja will again be participating in a Thanksgiving Food Drive with the Natick Service Council. Each classroom will sponsor one family, allowing us to provide 20 families with a healthy meal for Thanksgiving. Look for information from your room parents in the upcoming weeks, and sign up to contribute food items. Non-perishables will be gathered starting November 17, and all food will be delivered to the Food Pantry on Tuesday November 25. We will also be in need of drivers to help us transport all of our bounty to the Food Pantry. Please contact Michelle Ferretti with any questions at email@example.com. Thanks in advance for your generosity and support!
Fourth Grade Fundraising Committee
Proceeds from these activities benefit the Fourth Grade Fun Day activities, which every fourth grade class gets to enjoy.
As part of the fourth grade fundraising initiative, the fourth grade is running a Scrub-A-Dub coupon sale from November 1 – November 30. These coupons are great stuffing stuffers and gifts for teachers, mail carriers, friends, and family. There are two ways that the Lilja community can support this fundraiser. Please see the virtual backpack for two flyers with more information. Please contact Jodi Grundig at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
Friday, November 14 from 6:30 – 8:30pm. All fourth graders are invited to this fun evening, please see the virtual backpack for the registration form and details.
